Did you know that Americans give more than 7 billion greeting cards each year? According to the Greeting Card Association, we spend over $7.5 billion dollars every year on cards.

One thing to consider is that greeting cards are not just for birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays. They are also very effective tools for increasing business and sales.

Some of us only associate giving cards with special days but savvy business men and women have been using them for decades to stay in touch with customers and build name recognition. There is no faster way to connect with a client than to send them an unexpected, real greeting card in the mail.

Recently, one of the big trends on the internet has been the increased use of the e-card or electronic card. E-cards are quite popular and they allow people to send an instant message to friends and family. However, most people still prefer a real card versus the online version. Flooded email boxes and excessive spam are just a couple of the reasons why this might be the case.

It is reported that 9 out of 10 Americans surveyed actually prefer a physical letter or greeting card. That’s probably why hundreds of people per day search for the term “send real greeting card” in their quest to stay away from less personal online-only cards.

In addition to their personal appeal, a real greeting card is more likely to be opened, read, and retained when compared to other direct mail pieces.

Maybe you have heard the story of Joseph Samuel Girard. He is well known to be one of the greatest salesmen in the world. For 12 straight years, he sold more cars and trucks than any other salesperson. During a fifteen year career, he sold 13,001 cars and is listed in the Automotive Hall of Fame.

The reason Joe’s amazing story is shared here is because it’s said that he accomplished his phenomenal success by consistently staying in touch with his customers through written cards. It is proof that this strategy can quickly separate you from the crowd.

So, the next time you are trying to think of creative ways to generate referrals and reach out to your customers, take a few minutes to send out some personal greeting cards. They work, and the results just might surprise you.

Why would I want to send out greeting cards?

Most of us have a need for 20 plus cards per year because building relationships with friensd, family and co-workers is important to most people. There is an endless number of reasons for sending greeting cards. Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and thank you to name a few. Some people could send 60 or more cards a year but don’t because its too inconvenient, too costly ($3-$5 /card + postage) or they just don’t have the time. People love to receive greeting cards in the mail and many of those keep the greeting card on display for all to see for a couple of weeks then put it in a box to reflect back on days, months or years later.

Every professional and business wants to connect with and impress their key business contacts or clients, build long-term relationships with them, generate referrals and increase their loyalty. However, like most of us, many business owners and professionals simply do not have the time or resources to set up and execute an effective “Appreciation Marketing” follow up program.

Now there is a simple solution for sending cards to say Happy Birthday or Thanks For Your Business – a web based service that allows you to sending out custom greeting cards to friends, family or clients and business associates for 1/5 the price you would pay at the store. You don’t have to leave your home or office and you don’t even have to go to the post office. Real paper cards in envelopes with stamps mailed for you and can even be in your own handwriting. Now that takes the problem of cost and time out of the equation and makes sending greeting cards fun, fast, affordable and simple for the individual, professional or business owner.

Some of you may ask ~ Does it work? Think about it – when was the last time you received a greeting card that you didn’t open and did not appreciate? You see, receiving a greeting card – be it a “Birthday Wish” card, “Thank You” or “Merry Christmas” in your handwriting, customized with a picture added to it or even just a really nicely worded card – makes everyone feel great and appreciate the gesture.

Who should be using this online greeting card services?

YOU! Any individual that has every given or send a card to someone. Think of the people in your life that you see every day, the people you see once in a while and the people you haven’t seen for years. They all have Birthdays and anniversaries. Most celebrate holidays and there are many other occasions that a greeting card would show how much you appreciate them.

Businesses and service professionals. Manufactures, retail stores, consulting and law firms, chiropractors, massage therapists, other health care professionals, accountants, CPAs, financial professionals, dry cleaners, carpet cleaning companies, designers and graphic artists, freelancers, dentists, optometrists, orthodontists, contractors and many others should all use this service to show appreciation to their customers and clients. This can make your business or practice stand out form the competition. Your client will keep a personal greeting card and throw out the junk mail.

Before making the decision to have a home-based business the most important question you need to ask yourself is WHY. Why do you want a home-based business? Why do you need to work for yourself as opposed to working for someone else? Is it because your paycheck will never be as big as your dreams are? Or is it because you just know that given the chance, you could do so much more with your life? Maybe its because you have a craving for the freedom of setting your own destiny? The WHY will be your reason to get started. So, to get started, first ask the question: ‘is starting my own business going to give me the answer to my Why and is it going to meet my dreams? If the answer is Yes! then you need to consider the following questions: Are you open to learning new things? Are you adaptable? Do you have an open mind to new ideas? Can you recognize an opportunity when it presents itself? Are you interested in opening a retail store…a franchise of an already proven product or service (Brick and Mortar)? Or are you attracted to direct marketing opportunities (generates a residual [...]

If the answer is Yes! then you need to consider the following questions:

Are you open to learning new things? Are you adaptable? Do you have an open mind to new ideas? Can you recognize an opportunity when it presents itself?

Are you interested in opening a retail store…a franchise of an already proven product or service (Brick and Mortar)? Or are you attracted to direct marketing opportunities (generates a residual income)?

What financial resources do you have currently to fund a business start-up? Are you aware you can start a real business for under $400?

How much time are you willing to give? Do you have the resources available to quit your current job and spend time exploring options? Would you be willing to start something part-time that can lead to a full time income?

These are just a few of the questions to ask yourself and by no means are they the only questions. You need to make a list of the questions important to you.

Research is the key to starting. Examining your dreams and reasons why you want to start your own business and evaluating your needs. Finding that perfect fit takes time and research. But it’s all possible by setting up a plan and taking it step by step. Its also very important to talk to people that are doing the business that you are interested in. If you want to be a carpenter, would you ask your friend who is a hair stylist for advice and information about being a carpenter? So many times people that want to start a home-based business let other people, that don’t know anything about the business that they are interested in. Don’t let anyone steal YOUR dreams!

So, start by asking WHY and focus on your dream. To get you started take a look at this opportunity that is amazing. Take a test drive for free before deciding and talk to real live people. The Opportunity at www.sochomebusiness.com/ontario

I am happy to say that I am in an awesome position to be part of the growth and success in 2010 and now I am looking for people that also want to be there.

Canadians buy about 600 million cards a year and approximately 30% of annual sales are Christmas cards. In the US some 7 billion cards are sold every year. The novelty of electronic greetings is fading and people are looking for that personal touch of receiving a card in the mail. SendOutCards has only just touched the surface of the paper card industry but continues to grow rapidly year after year. It is not only replacing the e-card but is a simple, fun, convenient and less expensive way to send real paper cards (in your own hand writing) making it a better choice for send all you greeting cards.

Anniversaries, Birthdays, Congratulations, Christmas, Valentines Day, Thanksgiving, New Years, Graduation, New House, New Baby, Engagement, Thank You, New Purchase, New Customer, Existing Customers, Friends, Family and Co-Workers. The reasons for sending a greeting card are endless. And if its fast, easy, fun, convenient and affordable you are more likely to send that card and other unexpected cards.

Guys my point is that this is an amazing opportunity and I am sharing it with everyone reading this. Then I teach others how to send cards with SendOutCards… That it! Did I mention I get paid to do this?

They say you get back more than you send out and you know what? They are right! The amount Tina and I have started to get back since staring this business is tremendous. And I am not just talking about money. Its the new and renewed friendships and addition business and praise. We Love What We Do.

I want you to take a few minutes to check out some videos about SendOutCard visit www.socreview.com/ontario I will follow up with you. The “would have”, “could have” and “should have” excuse really isn’t going to get you very far. The reality is that you can’t turn back time. All you have left is the opportunity to start now – from this very second. The trouble is that we don’t! It’s such a simple thing to do. But so few people do it. The principle is straightforward: Start now to change your life for the better… start dreaming big. Do you believe that success is hit-or-miss? Or that successful people are simply lucky, or they were probably born rich?
